I’m a 30-something woman who blogs about my life journey in general. From personal thoughts and reflections to adventurous family escapades, I write about everything that can be added as a chapter in my formerly monotonous 20s life. Lessons I’ve learned throughout the years, places and activities that captured my heart, foods and movies that left an impression on my mind, and events that simply remind me how good life has been lately.
I’m a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist since 2015 and currently run our family business outside my profession. Like many women, I’ve worn different hats throughout the years—from healthcare professional to entrepreneur, freelancer, travel consultant, gamer, wife, and mom. This blog is where all those pieces come together.
During my free time, I work on freelance projects, help clients book flights and tours through WanderFull Travel and Tours and provide digital marketing services to small business owners locally and internationally.
I am a mom of two, and I gave birth to this blog on my 30th birthday. I decided to leave breadcrumbs here so my kids and I can have something to look back on once I reach the 70s bracket (if I got healthy and lucky enough to reach that age and read this again) HAHA. But even so, I made a little Life List to keep track of achieving my dreams.
For now, I want to become an inspiration to the modern Filipina moms who feel lost at the ever-changing demands of this world and that it’s okay to breathe out and be yourself every once in a while. Life has a tricky way of passing us by very quickly, so be sure to savor every moment of it with our families.
Who is Mawnstarr?
She’s an imperfect woman who made bad choices in high school, was called a Monster by a close friend but somehow learned from it. Though it was meant to hurt her, she embraced it, made it cute, converted it to Mawnstarr and turned it into an official IGN (In-Game Name) for all her gaming accounts.
She grew up in a home filled with masculine energy, having four brothers. Somehow, she still ended up very feminine, with adrenaline running through her veins and a tendency to never back down from an adventure during her younger years.
That being said, Mawnstarr Bytes is an actual curation of the bits and pieces of that so-called imperfect woman’s thoughts and musings between the chapters of her life. She also kept a blog during her teenage years and often wondered why it all stopped when she turned 21. Oh, she actually got married and gave birth to a beautiful girl when she’s 24 and simply found the essence of writing once again during her 30s.
Today, Mawnstarr Bytes is a space where Filipino moms, families, and curious souls can find honest stories, practical experiences, family-friendly destinations, lifestyle discoveries, and gentle reminders that life’s best moments are often found in the ordinary.
